| Professor Xu Hong, general director of the research and development center, serves as dean of College of Food Science and Light Industry, Nanjing Tech University, Jiangsu fermentation engineering chief scientist as well as deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Materials-Oriented Chemical Engineering. Professor Xu has long engaged in the research of industrial biotechnology, attached great importance to industry-university-research integration, undertaken 20 state, provincial and ministerial projects including national 863 projects, national 973 projects, national “Tenth Fifteenth” science and technology research projects as well as projects under Natural Science Foundation of China, accomplished 4 major commissioned projects, instructed 15 doctoral candidates and 36 postgraduates, won first prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, first prize of Jiangsu Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, first prize of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Invention Award, published Biological Macromolecule - Theory And Practice Of Microbial Synthesis (Chemical Industry Press, 2010) and 130 papers in domestic and foreign core journals (including approximately 60 SCI papers), applied for over 60 national invention patents (30 of which have been licensed). |

Awards
2013 Functional Macromolecule Polyamino Acid Biological Preparation and Industrial Application won the first prize of Jiangsu Prize for Science and Technology Progress (ranking 1st). Key Technologies and Industrial Application of Biologically Prepared Polyamino Acid won the first prize of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Invention Award (ranking 1st) and was included in Nanjing 321 Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Training Program.
2008 Jiangsu Top 10 Outstanding Women; Jiangsu 333 Project second-level training target.
